Foam filtration since 1969

UNI has been developing foam air filters since 1969. Its history is linked to washable, reusable polyurethane foam and the development of formats such as the Sock filter, introduced in 1973 for motorcycles and small engines. The brand combines that experience with a range of replacement filters and direct-mount solutions.

Open-cell foam works with dedicated filter oil to retain particles throughout its thickness. Maintenance is part of how it works: intake filters that require oiling must be cleaned and prepared according to UNI’s instructions, rather than fitted dry or treated with just any lubricant.

Air filters, breathers and filter foam

At Motarea, you will find UNI air filters for different applications, including replacements for the original airbox, dual-layer versions and Pod and Flex Core Sock formats. There are also road applications and specific snowmobile variants; the latter must be selected for their intended use and are not for dirt use.

Browse UNI dual-layer filters or UNI single-layer filters. The number of layers is a characteristic of the filter element; the choice also depends on the part number and intended application.

This selection includes breather filters and foam sheets for making filter elements. The breathers include clamp-on and push-in fittings; the sheets are chosen by foam type, thickness and required dimensions. The urethane breathers specified by UNI are washable and require no oil: not every product from the brand has the same maintenance requirements.

Before choosing, check the part number, application, dimensions and mounting system. For direct-mount filters, also check the connection diameter and available space. A similar shape or a general description does not replace these checks.
