Motorcycle Fasteners & Accessories
The motorcycle fasteners and accessories let you replace, install, or secure motorcycle components and items used in the garage or paddock. Bolts, nuts, washers, and auxiliary parts must create a proper joint for the load, material, and function of the assembly—not simply fit the hole.
To identify a fastener, check the diameter, usable length, thread pitch, head style, and drive type. Strength grade, material, finish, and tool access also matter. A dimensional standard marked on the part provides a reference, but it does not replace the motorcycle or component specifications.
How to Choose Bolts, Washers, and Accessories
- Compare the thread on the removed part with the thread in the mounting hole, and do not force it during installation.
- Verify that the length provides the required thread engagement without protruding or interfering with other parts.
- Choose a head style and tool that are compatible with the available access and bearing surface.
- Check whether the installation requires a washer, nut, bushing, spacer, or specific locking system.
- Follow the specified procedure and torque, taking into account whether the thread should be dry or lubricated.
Before replacing a fastener, measure it accurately and review its function in the assembly. At critical points such as the brakes, steering, suspension, or chassis, do not replace a specific part with another of similar size without confirming its strength, geometry, and technical compatibility.
