Motorcycle Protection: Safety and Fit

Motorcycle protection includes equipment designed to cover exposed areas while riding on the road or off-road. This category includes solutions for the torso, knees, elbows, neck and lower back, as well as pants and related motorcycle accessories. These products complement jackets, pants and technical jerseys, so always consider the intended use and real compatibility with the rest of your gear.

Before choosing, identify which parts of the body need protection and whether it will be worn over clothing, underneath it or inside a garment designed to hold it. The fit should allow free movement without uncomfortable shifting, and contact areas should not create excessive pressure in your normal riding position. For younger riders, check the size and fit regularly.

How to Choose the Right Protection

• Protection type: torso protectors, knee and elbow guards for the joints, neck braces for the cervical area, and lower-back belts.
• Size and fit: check the manufacturer's measurements and make sure straps, closures or retention systems are secure without restricting movement.
• Intended use: consider whether you need it for trail riding, motocross, street riding, commuting or another discipline, since coverage and how it is worn can vary.
• Integration with clothing: check the available space and the position of the pockets when using protection with a jacket, pants or jersey.
• Documentation: review the manufacturer's instructions for use and care, along with any applicable standards, before using the protection.

The right choice depends on the area to be covered, size, mobility and how the protection works with the rest of your gear. Checking these points before buying helps ensure comfortable use and avoid compatibility issues.
