Motorcycle adhesives, threadlockers and sealants
This category brings together solutions for bonding, securing or sealing components during motorcycle maintenance and repair. It includes adhesives for different materials, threadlockers, retaining compounds for fitted parts, and pastes or tapes for sealing and repairing specific areas, such as the exhaust system.
Choose based on the type of joint and how the part will be used. Bonding a surface, preventing a thread from loosening, filling a gap between components, and closing a joint exposed to heat all require different products. Also check whether the product requires two components to be mixed, a specified amount to be applied, or a particular nozzle to be used.
How to choose the right product
- Adhesives: choose the formulation according to the materials you want to join and the available contact surface.
- Threadlockers: distinguish between threadlocking and retaining cylindrical parts, such as bearings or seals. Consider whether later removal is part of the planned maintenance.
- Sealants and pastes: check that the stated use matches the application area, especially where there is exposure to heat, vibration, fluids or gases.
- Preparation: clean and dry the surfaces, remove residue from the previous product, and follow the application and curing instructions on the package.
Before applying any solution, check the condition of the parts, the joint clearance and the available space. A correctly chosen product does not replace the tightening, gasket or repair procedure required for each component.
