FMF Racing: a history rooted in motocross
FMF Racing was founded in California in 1973 by Don Emler. Its name, Flying Machine Factory, reflects the origins of a brand closely connected with motorcycle tuning and racing. In its official history, the company maintains that connection with motocross and explains that it builds its exhausts by hand in the United States.
At Motarea, you will find different FMF exhaust families and components for their maintenance. The shortcuts on this page help you distinguish between a muffler, an expansion pipe for a two-stroke engine, a header and a complete system, as well as find smaller replacement parts without browsing the entire catalog.
Choose the exhaust component you need
The FMF mufflers include different ranges and constructions. Names such as TurbineCore and Factory 4.1 RCT appear among the brand’s products. Before choosing, check the application, mounting points and exhaust assembly on which the component will be installed.
The 2-stroke expansion pipes form the expansion chamber of the two-stroke system. The Fatty family is part of this range. Their shape and mounting points must match the intended installation; an expansion pipe and a muffler are different components.
The headers shortcut includes products such as PowerBomb. If you want to replace the assembly, browse the complete exhaust systems and check which components each part number includes. Do not assume the contents solely from a photograph or a shared range name.
Exhaust parts, protection and care
The exhaust gaskets and springs shortcut helps you find sealing and fastening components. Before choosing, compare the dimensions, mounting location and exhaust system they are intended for. The contents of each set may vary.
The exhaust guards include heat shields and their mounting solutions. Check the material, dimensions and hardware needed for the component on which they will be installed.
For motorcycle care, you can also browse the wash plugs. Choose the size and shape suitable for the muffler outlet and follow the product’s usage instructions.
Keep your FMF exhaust’s identity
The exhaust decals offer replacement graphics for different mufflers. Check the shape, size and specified version before replacing them. For any work, always consult the product page: application, contents, specifications and installation conditions must match the assembly fitted to your motorcycle.
End caps, inserts and other FMF spare parts
To look after the complete exhaust, you can also browse FMF end caps and tips, inserts and internal components and mounting hardware and fixing accessories. These are separate families from gaskets and springs: identify the receiving silencer or header and the version specified for each spare part.
Workshop and paddock accessories, stickers and the FMF clothing collection complete the range. These categories let you find branded items alongside the exhausts, without attributing a mechanical function to them or presenting them as exhaust system components. Contents, dimensions and application are detailed in each listing.
