XTRIG: precision for steering and suspension

XTRIG develops components for adjusting motorcycle steering, handlebar position and suspension. The brand develops and manufactures its products at its own facilities in Germany and works with racing teams to develop its solutions. Its range serves both professional and amateur riders looking to adapt their bike's steering assembly and adjustment points.

Start by identifying the job you need to do: replace a triple clamp, change the handlebar position, adjust preload or prepare for the start. There are also replacement parts for maintaining these systems, including elastomers, spacers, fasteners and steering protection components. Check each part number against its intended application and installation configuration.

ROCS triple clamps: geometry and installation

ROCS triple clamps use opposing clamps to secure the fork tubes. Within the XTRIG triple clamp range, adjustable ROCS Pro versions allow the offset to be changed, while ROCS Tech versions have a fixed offset for the application. Offset is the distance between the steering axis and the centre of the fork tubes and must be selected for the bike's intended configuration.

Distinguish between an upper triple clamp, a lower triple clamp and a complete assembly. Check the fork clamping diameters, steering stem, bearings and items included with each part number. Similar colour or appearance does not confirm compatibility, nor does it allow components from different families to be interchanged without checking the relevant instructions.

Bar mounts, elastomers and handlebar position

The handlebar mounts offer different attachment solutions. PHDS and FlexFix use interchangeable elastomers, while Fix-System provides a rigid connection between the handlebar and triple clamp. The choice depends on the system fitted to the bike, the handlebar diameter and the desired position. Also check whether the part number is intended for an XTRIG triple clamp or an application using the original triple clamp.

The handlebar accessories include spacers, elastomers and bolts for these systems. Spacer height must match the bolt length and intended attachment. For assemblies using elastomers, confirm the replacement part's family and hardness; PHDS and FlexFix components are not all interchangeable simply because they look similar.

Preload and Holeshot: two different functions

The Preload Adjuster allows the shock spring preload to be adjusted mechanically. It is used to adapt suspension sag to the intended setup, within the range specified for the shock. The thread, shock body, available space and adjustment direction must match. Preload alone does not change the spring rate and does not replace the need to choose a suitable spring.

The Holeshot system temporarily holds the fork compressed before the start. The range includes single-position versions and HiLo systems with two engagement positions. Its function differs from that of the rear preload adjuster. Replacement parts and checks before installation

The range also includes steering seals and dust covers, plus a front wheel axle for Supermoto. For these components, check the installation position, the part number of the receiving assembly and the stated dimensions. Steering stem protection components must not be confused with fork seals; the wheel axle also requires the correct hub and front-end configuration.

Before installation, check the housings, threads and contact surfaces of the parts being retained. Refer to the product details and the manual for the part number to prepare the tools, installation sequence and tightening torques. A consistent choice of triple clamps, mounts and accessories allows work on the intended assembly without assuming compatibility from external dimensions alone.
