Helmet Pinlocks and anti-fog inserts

Anti-fog inserts help maintain a clearer view when moisture builds up on the helmet shield, especially during temperature changes, rain, or low-speed riding. This accessory installs on the inside of a compatible shield and must sit correctly to work as intended.

Your choice depends mainly on the helmet and shield installed. Inserts do not all have the same shape or fastening system, so check the exact helmet model, the compatible shield reference, and the position of the mounts or pins. Size or format names alone are not enough to ensure a proper fit.

How to choose and install an anti-fog insert

• Check compatibility with the specific helmet model and version.
• Verify that the shield has the required mounting points and is free from deformation, scratches, or dirt.
• Clean both surfaces with suitable products, and avoid touching the insert’s optical area during installation.
• Position the accessory evenly, without folds or raised areas, and check the perimeter seal before riding.
• If condensation appears between the shield and insert, check the mount tension and the condition of the gasket.

To preserve visibility, follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and avoid abrasive products, solvents, or cloths that could damage the surface treatment. Replace the insert when it shows wear, loss of adhesion, or distorted vision.
